SCHEV New Member Orientation

In cooperation with the Governor and the Virginia Secretary of Education, the State Council of Higher Education in Virginia will host a mandatory orientation for new members of the Commonwealth of Virginia’s Boards of Visitors. Six members of the University of Virginia Board of Visitors will attend the orientation. The meetings are as follows: Wednesday, October 28, 2026 12:00 – 6:30 p.m. The Westin Hotel Blue Ridge Ballroom 6631 W. Broad Street Richmond, VA 23230 and Thursday, October 29, 2026 8:30 a.m. – 2:30 p.m. The Westin Hotel Blue Ridge Ballroom 6631 W. Broad Street Richmond, VA 23230 The purpose of these meetings is to conduct an educational program for the new members of the higher education governing boards. No University of Virginia business will be conducted, and no votes will be taken. There will be no public comment taken at these meetings.
