CNU Board of Visitors Committee Meetings and Events

Christopher Newport University’s Board of Visitors will meet on the 2nd Floor of the Freeman Center conference wing, 1 Avenue of the Arts, Newport News, Virginia (unless otherwise specified) on Wednesday and Thursday, September 16-17, 2026. The purpose of the meetings is to conduct the regular business of the Board. Wednesday, September 16, the Operations, Audit and Risk Committee will meet from 10:00 – 10:50 a.m. in Room 202. The Executive Committee will meet from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. in Room 202. The Board of Visitors will have lunch from 12:15 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. in Room 101. The Advancement Committee and the Athletics Committee will meet simultaneously from 1:15 p.m. to 2:10 p.m. in Rooms 201 and 202. The Academic Affairs Committee and the Student Life Committee will meet simultaneously from 2:15 p.m. - 3:15 p.m. in Rooms 201 and 202. The Board of Visitors will hold a faculty social on September 16 at 3:30 p.m. at the Alumni House, McKnight Veranda, and a dinner at 5:30 p.m. at Mary M.
