Water Quality Improvement Fund Workgroup Meeting

The Water Quality Improvement Fund (WQIF) Workgroup, convened by the Secretary of Natural and Historic Resources, will evaluate the statutory framework and historical implementation of the WQIF and develop recommendations to improve its effectiveness, transparency, and administration. The workgroup will examine the Fund's organizational structure in the Code of Virginia and state budget, funding allocation and disposition, grant approval guidelines, reporting requirements, funding needs assessments, and other statutory or administrative provisions that may be outdated or unnecessary. The workgroup will also consider the feasibility of incorporating the Stormwater Local Assistance Fund (SLAF) into the WQIF framework. An agenda will be posted before the meeting.
