Special Committee on the Nomination of a President

The University of Virginia Special Committee on the Nomination of a President will meet in open and closed session March 26 and 27, 2017. The March 26 meeting will be from 6:00 to 6:45 p.m. in the Porch Room of the Old Mill Room at the Boars Head Inn, 200 Ednam Drive, Charlottesville, VA, followed by dinner in the Porch Room. The meeting time for this session is approximate. The purpose of this meeting is for the Committee to hear from President Teresa Sullivan about her experience as president of the University of Virginia. The March 27 meeting will be in the Board Room of the Rotunda on the grounds of the University of Virginia in Charlottesville. The meeting will be from 9:00 a.m. to approximately 2:00 p.m. in both open and closed session. The purpose of the meeting is to hear from President Emeritus John T. Casteen III on his experience as president of the University; from Dean Scott Beardsley about his research on non-traditional university presidents; and to discuss the presidential profile and presidential candidates with John Isaacson and his team from Isaacson, Miller, the University’s search consultant. Members of the public interested in attending these sessions may check with either the Office of University Communications or the Office of the Board of Visitors if they have questions.
