Children's Inpatient Workgroup

The Commonwealth Center for Children and Adolescents (CCCA) is the only state psychiatric facility for children in the state and throughout the year experiences significant challenges related to rising census. As such, DBHDS will be starting the Children's Inpatient Workgroup to better understand the challenges that our communities face in being able to serve kids where they reside, and develop strategies and solutions to move forward to better serve children with behavioral health needs, with a particular focus on inpatient psychiatric treatment. The workgroup is chaired by Dr. Alexis Aplasca, DBHDS Chief Clinical Officer, and Dr. Jaime Bamford, Facility and Medical Director of CCCA.
